What's Inside My (MBFF) Goodie Bag?

One quick question! Who loves goodie bags?? Well... If you know me, I LOVE free stuff (free food's the best kind). I might sound super weird but I'm gonna go ahead & say it... actually no. I'll sound super stupid. Oh well, yolo. Hear I go... I find it pretty 'sweet' & quite 'thoughtful' (fashion shows are my boyfriend) that shows give out goodie bags. It's like they're saying 'Thank you for coming. We really appreciate you guys coming. Enjoy the show.. Oh & here's a small token of our appreciation'. HAH. Ok. I'll stop now. See? I told you that I'd sound silly.

I'm running out of space in my wardrobes because of the free things I've accumulated during the year. I've lost count plus, I don't even know what I own anymore. BUT I could never have too many lipsticks & biscuits!

George St, Sydney

I love fashion events.
The events is where every one likes to dress to impress. Well, not really. For example, I'm more focused on what other people than on myself.
Anywho, I bumped into some inspirational & fashion forward Sydney siders at Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival Sydney.

(And before I go any further.. I know that I've got a blurry photo & then i've got a couple of grainy ones. I'm so sad. When they appear small on my camera's screen, the quality looks unbelievable, but when it's blown up on iphoto... you can see the faults. GRRRR!)

Back to 'la moda', I did NOT expect such 'style'. I met a lovely young lady, Bella, who was stopped by so many people for a photo. She definitely owned those clothes. You could really learn about her style through her iridescent -sequin -concealed sheer blush cape.
You could tell that she was there to represent 'herself'. Not a brand not an image.

Wiwid Howat. Such charisma through her aesthetic expression. I mean... look at the way she styles those tones & the draping. When I first saw her, I thought to myself, 'Beautiful'.
So genuinely 'beautiful'. I'm not defining her by a dictionary or a bland term.
She was so so genuinely beautiful. The draping made her appear so gentle & so fragile.
The nude tones with the soft blue & lilac intertwined. The white really pulled it all together. It gave purpose to the biege under shirt.

Finally, my absolute favourite Australian fashion icon. Kurt, also known as Fashion Dacci.
What an icon!
It's a fashion parade when you see Kurt.
Moschino, House of Holland & Acne Studios... Ikea! (personal joke hehe).
Nothing says 'This is me' more than Kurt's style. I mean, just look at him.
He's courageous & he's genuine.
That's fashion.

Day 4 : Australian Fashion Labels October 2014 Preview

One thing's for sure, I should've shot all the shows with my 40 - 150mm lens instead of my 14 - 42mm. Why did I have to realise at the last show?! I'm really feeling these photos!

Out of all of the brands featured in this show, I was particularly impressed with Finders Keepers. I've been following the brand for a few years now -since it began, & it's come such a long way especially in an aesthetic manner.

I remember gasping out loud when I saw the red suit. Oh, man. Isn't it just so magical? I need it for next year's fashion week! Looks like I've got some saving to do!
My wardrobe's also screaming for the red Keepsake set with the embroidered blue flowers.

And if any of you were there, how amazing was the playlist? I was about to get up & dance to all that Snoop Dogg & Pharrell.

Moving on.. The Fifth Label. I was expecting something 'new' but well. Sad to say but stripes have been over done. Stripes are nothing new & nothing fascinating when they're used for shift dresses & sets. Well, It is hard to used these thin stripes for other designs as they'd probably look like pyjamas or beetle juice.

Other than that, great way to end Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival Sydney 2014.
Good vibe, great people, amazing energy.
I'm excited for next year!

Day 4 : Mercedes Benz Presents Australian Style

This the fourth time watching this show.
I decided that with this opportunity of watching the show again, I wanted to focus more on the details such as hem lines, binding, logos, fine textures, jewellery, zips etc.
I wanted to emphasise the details that you can't clearly see from sitting in the show.
